After our class discussion please click on the following link:

Mr. Sillman will direct you on what product(s) your group will view (Newspapers, milk, tires, bananas, sodas, showers, potatoes, diapers, bread). Please read the facts and watch the short video. Discuss this within your group and then each group will share with the class.
Things to think about…
1. How does your item impact the environment?
2. Other than the item itself, what other resources are used for your item? Why?
3. Is there a better alternative?
4. What are some new terms you learned (need to look up)?
After the class discussion, you will choose a partner (if you like) and create a powerpoint about the environmental impact of one item. You can use an item from the lesson or any item you choose that you can research and find information about.
When choosing your item think about the product itself plus…
- agriculture
- transportation
- shipping
- cultivation
- processing
- disposal (waste)
- marketing
- distribution
