5.  Open Powerpoint.  Choose an online picture.  Insert it as the background.

6.  Label at least 2 of each type of angle you can find in the picture.  If you cannot find that many, then add another slide and label them on that slide.

Business Letter Writing

TP – Students will practice writing a business letter by using a word processing program

Have you ever bought an item or product you weren’t happy with?

  • Maybe it broke very quick
  • Maybe it wasn’t as advertised
  • Maybe it cost too much
  • Maybe it tasted bad….

Have you ever bought an item or product you were very satisfied with?

  • It was a much better product than you anticipated
  • An employee (at the store or on the phone) was extremely helpful
  • You would recommend the product to others
  • It tasted great…

You are going to compose a business letter to a known company to express your satisfaction or dissatisfaction with their product.  Other than using proper formatting, your letter should include:

1.  What product are you writing about?

2.  Why are you writing them about this product?

3.  Give detail to explain why your experience with that product was positive or negative (provide specific examples)

  • where was it purchased?
  • when was it purchased?
  • How long have you owned it?
  • etc.

4.  What would you like the company to do about this?

5.  Proper greetings and salutations

6.  Proper spelling and grammar (If you expect the company to listen you must present your argument free of errors)

7.  Use a proper font and size (suggestion – 12pt Times New Roman)
